    -9:50 PM-

Hey all! OKies.. as promised, I'm here to blog about the MG C div match against SCGS. Once again I shall not reveal the results until the end of the post so you'll read to the end in order to find out who won. haha. ( yeah.. it is.. in a way.. a gimmick but look at it this way, if you know the results now, you won't want to read until the end would you??)Truthfully, the sec1s slacked today as in the sense we did not do our journals haha:D Anyway first up was Rachel! Nono.. I don't mean rachel leong.. another rachel but this rachel is also very good and I'm not just saying that because she won the match ( ok.. I revealed a little...) She IS very very good. No, I didn't just find that out today. I knew once she stepped into the court that it was quite obvious who would win. Well unless that person from SCGS is also very very good then, yeah.. die lar but if that person is just average, I think Rachel would most likely win. She seemed confident in doing so too. Still, I think Rachel normally does better... She made a few false errors. Next up was another champion.. Elena! The captain of the C div. As expected, she won. [the C div sent out all their best players... I don't know why...]According to Mr Koh, she did better than the last time. Although I did not see her play the last time, I believe it is true... she did quite well. Next up was the very cute Klarissa!! This was the MOST interesting point of the game! This match was the one that I'll never ever.. ever forget.. SO EXCITING! You see, Klarissa breezed through the 1st and 2nd game... in other words, she won but... here's the interesting part. She started to get super super tired then the girl from SCGS ( btw her name is Sherlyn and she is a sec1!!! I'm serious... she is a sec1 but she's super pro. I mean seriously... she made Klarissa run like crazy and she did ALOT of unexpected moves) started to pick up the pace. I guess she's just like my mum... she works quite well under pressure. She won the 3rd match so I guess Klarissa was thinking something like " ok.. nevermind... I can still win this match" but NO Sherlyn won the 4th one too and it was not because Klarissa gave chance to her. She didn't. It is just that Sherlyn was very very very good. So it was down to this FINAL match... that will determine who would win this match. So yes, the pressure was ON! Since Sherlyn won the last game, it was her turn to serve. The score at half time was 6-2. Klarissa was 6. Things were starting to look up for MGS. But think again! Although Klarissa was leading by 4 points, Sherlyn actually WON! Suprise..suprise! Yeah she won 9-6 for the last match. It was really really close. Now on Klarrisa's side, she was definitely disappointed and quite angry at herself for not doing better. Personally I thought she did EXTREMELY well. I mean she ran SOOOOOOO much and was SOOOOO tired but still continued playing. As for Sherlyn, I guess she was really really happy. I myself was absolutely amazed by her performance. According to Sherilyn Chan the MG sec1 squashie, Sherlyn went to call her mother on her handphone to tell her about the match. If I was her I would have done the same thing and maybe even cry... I mean tears of joy that is. Indeed we lost this match but it left a deep impression on me. I really look up to Sherlyn.. I mean if I was in her position, I would have panicked and not be able to hit the ball but through out the whole competition, she remained calm and cool! It is an excellent attitude! i should definitely learn from her. Anyway, enough about this match already. Lets move on to the next... it was ours... or at least Kelly's most feared match because according to her, her opponent was super super good and yes.. Kelly did lose really badly but the thing is that she put in alot of effort but I guess the opponent kept on tricking her I mean even watching the match, I got very irritated with that girl. I mean she is good but its so irritating when someone keeps on boasting and droping! It is part of the game I know.. but it so hard to play a nice game when you can't even hit the ball! If I was Kelly, I would have smashed the ball like crazy and even if I was suspended, it would have been worth it HAHA.. I know.. I have temper problems haha:D Anyway yes... it has come to our final match! It was suppose to be the most exciting match of the day... beside Klarissa's match because if you think of it as 'ALL HOPE OF WINNING THE MATCH AGAINST SCGS IS IN YOU! YOUR PERFORMANCE WOULD DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT MGS WINS' then yeah.. it would definitely be the most exciting and pressurizing match! When I saw Gloria hold up her racket, I started to panic! Luckily I was wrong( I don't mean that Gloria is bad... she isn't in fact she's actually quite good but... she isn't one of the star players so I was a little worried) Wan Ning was the one playing. So as soon as I saw her step on court, I set back on my chair.. or bench and though to myself: Get ready to celebrate. I mean... seriously.. Wan Ning is super good! Just like Rachel! Star players man! Indeed she did not disapoint us..9-0 for all 3 matches!! SHE WON!!! SO THAT MEANT THAT MGS WON!! YAY! SO HAPPY! haha:D Yeah!! Cheer like crazy! haha:D Overall, I think they all did extremely well... mostly because they played all their star players so yeah... YAY MG WON! haha:DOk.. so after the match, Rachel, Edelia, Ting Hui, Sherilyn and I got to use the squash court and guess what I found out? IT WAS AIR CONDITIONED! SO COOL RIGHT?? hahaXD well I thought so. Anyway, we started playing and I started to realise that we gotta start working like crazy. I mean when we play in school I think we are fine but after the match, when I compared our performances to the people who played, my thoughts were: OMG! Am I that bad? I never knew that. I mean like know I was bad... but when compared to them I'm an ant compared to giant... skill wise." I mean look at it this way...WE ARE GOING TO BE THE ONES COMPETING NEXT YEAR AND OUR STANDARD IS FAR FROM THEIRS!!! Ok... an example...if Klarissa can't even win Sherlyn, how can we?? Do you know we are going to have friendly soon and we the following words describe how prepared we are: ABSOLUTELY SUPERCALIFRAGELISTICESPELIDOSIOUSLY NOT READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean... maybe Rachel and Nic Toh is ready but other than that, I think the rest of us are not ready... esp. ME! I thought I was because other than hitting from the back of the court I was fine but guess what I just realised... YOU CAN'T PLAY SQUASH WITH KNOWING HOW TO HIT FROM THE BACK OF THE COURT!!!! SO yeah.. I really need to work hard... and that is my goal until..erm... friendly I guess. Anyway, I got to go now ok.. I blogged to much haha:D Anyway, BYE!

    -7:30 PM-

    Hey people!
Okies.. as you know the squashies left early today to go for a competiton... well the seniors competed and erm.. we cheered:D Anyway, I shall only tell you the results at the end in order not to spoil the excitement... or disappointment.... well basically I just want you to read to the end. HAHA:D Okies so anyway, today we went to yio chu kang sports centre.. thingy.. Oh and you are never going to guess who we saw there! We saw Nicole Rosenburger!!! You know the girl who is super good in tennis and DSAed into RGS?? Yeah.. we saw here there together with other RGS tennis players. What a small world right? I mean what were the odds of seeing her there? Ok so anyway, Ms Tang handed a folder to us sec1s and told us that there was an assignment for each of the days the seniors played against other schools. So, she assigned us to a person and we were suppose to take notes of the good and bad points of the person we were assigned to then with them down and keep it as a "journal" so next time, when we are seniors, we would have a little experience already.
So first up competing against the star player from SCGS was bernice. I must say I could see that she put in ALOT of effort. She was running for the ball like crazy... She seemed very very very nervous... and that was a bad sign. Nicole Toh said that she was not playing as well as she normally played. In the end, yeah... she lost but nevermind... it is not her fault. She put in alot of effort... it ws just that the other girl was really good.. or at least she knew how to make people run that is. Next up was the girl who I was assigned to. Her name is Jillian and she is the star player from MGS. You see.. she's very good... she's a national player... SO PRO RIGHT???Anyway, when she stepped into the court, she was super calm and confident which was a good sign because normally people would not be able to perform well when they are nervous. She did not disappoint us! She won!! What I noticed about Jillian was that she was able to place the ball very nicely such that the opponent would not be able to hit the ball. Yeah.. she made the opponent run ALOT. Ms Tang said Jillian normall did better. She made alot of false errors. Personally I think she did quite well.. I mean apart from winning, she did put in quite some effort... though..it was not as much as bernice. The only thing bad was that sometimes she was quite reluctant to run. LOL.. I said too much about her ( what? I mean after all, I observed her game the closest!)
Now, I am not going to reveal whether the player won or lost because I don't want to let you know thw results.. whether we won or not. So next up was Yi Ling. I think she didn't exactly do very well but.. I don't really know cause I've never seen her play before. Personally I thought she could have done better... I think.. she made quite a few mistakes and was quite reluctant to run. The jackson house mg squashie beside me kept going :" RUN! YI LING RUN!" haha:D Next up was Hannah! ( Jessica's sister) She was this other girl who could not make it. Hannah was very very good! I could tried very very very hard to reach the ball every time. I think this match was the most interesting one because the relays were so long and we were all so tense. So whenever a player wins the ball, the school would scream! haha:D The girl from SCGS, emily, dropped alot and when I say alot I really mean ALOT! Poor hannah.. she had to run so much! Finally the last and final player was Zhi Jing. I thought she did fine but .. could have done a little better. I actually found her very calm through out the game. She was smiling most of the time even though sometimes she lost a point. So now she the moment you've all been waiting for.. the results. I'm sorry to disappoint you.. but we lost. Sadly. Yi Ling, Zhi Jing and even Hannah, they all lost to SCGS. So sad right? nevermind! wo men hui jia you! Tomorrow, the C div girls are going to play against SCGS' C div group. I hope they do well. Remember to keep them in your prayers ok? thx. I'll try to post about tom's match tom. BYE now

    -6:50 PM-

    Hey all,
Finally! I short time since I last posted. Well.. probably cause I've got the time because tomorrow is cross country so I can push all my homework to tomorrow and erm... I'm kinda too tired to do any homework now. Oh btw... HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY YVONNIE!! Ok... erm... I still haven't gotten you a present but don't worry... I will! I will! Anyway, moving on to my topic that I want to post about : the "unique" Jiamin. Oh before I start, gotta talk about my marks. I'm quite disappointed in some subjects esp. english ( mostly cause I didn't expect it to be so low) oh yeah.. and I want to KILL RACHEL GUNN!!!:@ You see... RACHEL GUNN here got a wonderful 75 for her english ( just talking about it makes me super super angry!!! This is unfair! There is no justice in this world!!) while the 2nd person in the class only got like I don't know.... a 66???? She raised the standard like crazy!! Then my parents said:" see... you said your english improved but look you got so low. How to be journalist ar?" when they saw my marks. * Jiamin grabs Rachel Gunn's necks and starts strangling* I actually expected to get like 78? Mrs Thomset's standard is super super super high!! Well.. for english that is. Oh and I am not bragging and all but HA! I BEAT RACHEL GUNN IN LIT!! BY 1 MARK! HA! Go ME Go ME! YAY! haha:D ( thick-skinness is getting to me head. haha:D) Anyway moving onto my topic, I shall tell you why I wanted to blog about my "uniqueness" you see today during squash, Rachel told me that she didn't like Mrs Thomset... I can't tell you why... for simple reasons: I don't know why. haha:P Anyway, I was thinking to myself... are you serious? Mrs Thomset is like one of my favourite teachers this year!! I mean sure she may be sarcastic at times and all but what I like about her is that she is very genuine and honest. Though harsh at times, but she is a very straight and frank person and I like her for that. Oh and to add to that, she is one of the teachers who actually wrote something true. As in she knows what she's writing and I know she means it. She doesn't write for the sake of it and she does not exaggerate to make me sound very very good or very very bad. She just says what she thinks and I know it. Well.. maybe she would have said something else like : "she is very crappy during group work" in a joking way but I don't think she would want to give my mum the impression of her not being serious. To add to that, Mrs Thomset is a very good teacher. She makes herself very clear and teachers properly. [scarly the later part of the year I start hating her... hahaha:D Then I would be contradicting myself] It seems like ALOT of people like Ms Choe and I have no idea why! Sure she is nice and all but seriously...she doesn't exactly teach well.. she makes you go and read up on your own you I think you know better than I do that I don't have the time or the attention span to read up a whole chapter! I'd rather listen to the teacher and take down notes. I only do that when tests are coming up. You know what? I really think very differently from the people around me! Seriously! They like people like Ms Choe and Mrs Phua and I like people like Mrs Thomset and Mrs Chong. So you see the "uniqueness" of me? It is called having an abstract mind:D ( haha... as if!) My parents FINALLY realised that I am more of an art person (from my results) than a logical person... I mean of course I have my moods but normally I am more artistic... well... not in the sense I am good at art but in the sense I can appreciate language( I did so much better in my language that sci and maths) and I love to play the piano. I can't believe that my parents thought that I was a logic person all along! I mean sure sometimes I use alot of logic but most of the time I'm just plain crap ( which makes an artistic person:D haha:D) Anyway I guess that is the end of my topic now. Tomorrow's cross country! Have a good nights sleep and a good breakfast.... you are going to need it. Oh yeah... forgot to say.. I might be having difficulties running tomorrow. My wound is crazily stiff and I have no idea why and running today ( it was on my own accord cause I wasn't really force to and it was only like 4 or 5 rounds ) did not make it any better ( I actually thought it would thats why I decided to run. okok... I kinda felt a little left out... even though I was with sherilyn.)Anyway, sleep well tonight. BYE!!
